More Details on How OPA Came to Be

OPA has its beginnings with an intention I held in 1990 after I had an awakening experience.
When I went through my awakening experience, what I then called “my cosmic two weeks”, I was 40 years old and had no context for understanding what had happened to me. I had no language, no reference points and no idea who I could talk to about it. It was during this 2 weeks that I realized how much more there was to life and I couldn’t believe that no one had ever told me about any of this.
When my cosmic two weeks subsided, I had 4 questions:
-
What happened to me?
-
How do I get back to that incredible place of love and wisdom?
-
How could I help others get to that place?
-
How could I make sense of this thing called Spirituality and explain it to others?
I soon discovered that many people who had similar experiences in the past had been relegated to mental hospitals.

I soon discovered that many people who had similar experiences in the past had been relegated to mental hospitals.
After attending about 15 weekend workshops on "advanced healing" methods, I was amazed to find that they were all variations on either Regression or Reframing. Each method simply used their own language and a different number of steps. It has been my intent to simplify these processes to a minimum of effective steps and use basic descriptive language where possible.
During my spiritual awakening in 1990, I was amazed by the world I was experiencing where I loved everybody and had instant answers to any question I could ask. I was stunned that nobody had ever told me about this kind of experience and that there was so much more to life than the basic 3D material world. I chose to find out more about the "spiritual world" and help others experience it like I had.
In March of 2020, the Covid Pandemic forced the cancellation of three trainings I had founded (The Next Step, Mystic Warrior and Paradigm Wizard Trainings).
I wanted to find another way to share the technology and worldview that I've been developing for the last 30 years and used in these trainings. At the age of 70 years old, passing this knowledge on as my legacy was a top priority in my life.
I saw the Covid shut down as similar to a re-start on a computer. An opportunity to clear away a problem. I saw an opportunity to upload new programming to replace the old obsolete programming.
In my meditations, I asked my Higher Self what role I could play in the transition humanity was experiencing with Covid. I described my thoughts on the reboot and was encouraged to pursue it as a 40 day program and build on my previous thoughts about daily phone calls using Next Step technology. I was told that I would be supported in many ways that I could not imagine at the time. That has been more than true.
Most of the content in the OPP is unique to OPP and has been developed by me over the past 30 years, based on my own healing experiences that came from many different sources.
In more depth, I first experienced many of the techniques I teach in the following ways:
I didn't invent check-in or check-out, "I" statements, the 4 feelings or mission work. I learned them from the ManKind Project in which I was a Certified Leader and Curriculum Chair. Co-founders of MKP, Rich Tosi and Bill Kauth were my greatest Mentors. The PEMS approach is mine and is a variation of the PIES check-in from MKP. The OPP mission approach is mine.
I didn't invent the idea of Active Listening, I learned it from the book: "PET: Parent Effectiveness Training" and Steven Covey, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People". This simplified OPP approach including "What to Avoid" is mine.
I didn't invent Positive Intent, I learned it from a book by Connirae Andreas: "Core Transformation". The simplified approach and the ECHO Process are mine.
I didn't invent Inner Circle, the Dungeon or EPC. I learned them from my Hypnotherapy Teacher, David Quigley as Conference Room. I also learned how to write effective protocols from David. This OPP approach to Sacred Space, Inner Circle, Archetype Circle, Higher Self, etc. is mine.
I didn't invent Reframing. I learned it from books on NLP and about 8 different workshops I attended. It was initially developed by John Grindler and Richard Bandler. These OPP exercises, processes and uses for reframing are mine.
I didn't invent Regression. I learned it from David Quigley and about 7 different workshops I attended. The OPP regression processes are mine.
I didn't invent Spirit Releasement or Remote Healing. I learned them in a workshop with William Baldwin. The simplified protocols are mine.
I didn't invent the Archetypes or this Archetype content. I got that from Carol S. Pearson, Ph.D. in her book: "Awakening the Heroes Within". I did create this unique assessment tool using her content.
I didn't invent the "Voice Dialogue" approach to accessing a part by moving your body and chair or the invitation to ask permission from the part that is most in control. That came from Hal and Sidra Stone.
All the visualizations are mine.
I have "borrowed" from everybody and simplified their concepts and often used them in what could be considered a sacrilegious way. Like many disciplines with their own language, I found that most healing methods are simply variations on some fundamental concepts. Looking below the surface of these linguistic expressions often unveiled to me the fundamental technology that could be used in its purest form.
Simplifying all of these healing methods to their essence and using the same basic language in each, allowed for the integration of these individual processes into one powerful transformational approach.
And finally, I had the privilege of working with many master healers who helped me develop this technology to its current level. My greatest teachers were the Men-in-Blue inside Folsom Prison and the leaders from the Next Step Training who also provided the initial impetus to this Omega Point Project. None of this would have been possible without the selfless dedication of Randy Rusk, Maggie Anderson, Peter Layton, Min Harris, Jonathan King and Randy Boring.
I have often used these many gifts from others without giving credit. My focus has always been to pass on their contributions to others. I hope that others will also feel free to use this OPP technology as they can and pass it on as well.

This universe is not outside of you.
Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you are already that."
